In a world that often convinces us we're not good enough or don't have enough, I believe we all need more of Lakshmi's energy.
Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of abundance, is often misunderstood as merely a bringer of wealth. In my experience, she is the goddess who opens our eyes and hearts to the abundance already around us. This awareness fosters trust, creating more space to welcome even more abundance into our lives. We shift our perspective from focusing on the ‘negative’ to recognising the blessings. It’s like buying a new car—once you own it, you start seeing it everywhere. It’s a muscle we need to train!
Gratitude and abundance are already present; we just need to open our eyes to see them.
Ways to Work with Lakshmi:
Her Mantra: Chanting Lakshmi's mantra can invoke her presence and remind us of the abundance around us. A popular mantra is "Om Shreem Mahalakshmiyei Namaha."
Observe Your Thought Patterns: Pay attention to your thoughts. Do they tend to focus on lack or scarcity? If so, gently redirect them to thoughts of abundance and gratitude. This shift can change your perspective and open you up to more blessings.
Practice Gratitude: Find a method of practicing gratitude that resonates with you. This could be journaling, taking quiet moments of reflection, or verbally expressing your thanks. Regularly acknowledging what you're grateful for can attract more positivity and abundance into your life.
Practice Non-Attachment: Understand that true abundance isn’t about clinging to material possessions or outcomes. Practice non-attachment by appreciating what you have without being overly attached to it. This mindset creates a flow of abundance.
Share Your Abundance: Don’t keep all the abundance to yourself. Perform acts of kindness and share your gifts with the world. Being selfless and generous creates a cycle of giving and receiving, reinforcing the idea that there’s enough to go around for everyone.
Incorporating these practices can help you align with Lakshmi’s energy and open your heart to the abundance that is already present in your life
All my love,
Shannon
